Selection Process
For Junior Superintendent
Stage-I Written Exam (100 marks, 90 minutes): Objective MCQs divided into two parts. Part-A covers General Aptitude (40 marks) including Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, and Basic Computer Knowledge. Part-B tests Domain Knowledge (60 marks). Candidates must achieve a minimum cutoff of 50% for General/OBC/EWS categories and 45% for SC/ST to qualify for Stage-II.
Stage-II Job Oriented Practical Test (50 marks, 60 minutes): A qualifying test only, with a minimum passing score of 50%. It assesses documentation, drafting, data entry, and administrative proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and related tools.
Final Selection: Merit ranking is determined solely on Stage-I marks.
For Junior Engineers (Civil and Electrical)
Stage-I Written Exam (50 marks, 60 minutes): Objective questions on domain knowledge relevant to the specialization.
Stage-II Job Oriented Practical Test (50 marks, 60 minutes): For Civil Engineers, this covers estimating and costing, surveying, material testing, and contracts. For Electrical Engineers, it includes transformers, switchgears, HT/LT cables, internal wiring, UPS and DG kVA rating, and contracts.
Final Merit: Combined marks from Stage-I and Stage-II determine the final ranking.
Salary
All selected candidates will be placed at Level 6 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
