Eligibility
Educational Qualification: All candidates must have passed 10th standard.
Journeyman Eligibility: Trade-specific National Apprenticeship Certification (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) is mandatory. Each trade has defined certificate requirements (e.g., Carpenter requires NAC/NTC in Carpenter or Wood Work Technician; Electrician requires NAC/NTC in Electrician, etc.). Maximum age: 26 years as on 1 October 2026.
Driver (Vehicle) Eligibility: Valid Commercial LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) Driving Licence is essential; Heavy Vehicle Licence is desirable. Minimum 6 years of post-qualification experience in direct employment driving light and heavy motor vehicles is mandatory. Experience must be verified as on 1 October 2026. Maximum age: 32 years as on 1 October 2026.
Age Relaxation: Eligible categories receive age relaxation: OBC-NCL (3 years), SC/ST for reserved posts (5 years), PwBD-UR (10 years), PwBD-OBC (13 years), PwBD-SC/ST (15 years), Ex-Servicemen (qualifying service plus 3 years), Ex-Agniveers (3 years, up to 5 years for first-batch candidates) and Ex-GRSE Trade Apprentices (3 years).

Salary
Journeyman Training Period (2 years): Candidates receive a monthly stipend of ₹24,000 in the first year and ₹26,000 in the second year.
After Absorption as Semi-Skilled (SSK): Upon successful completion of training and qualifying examinations, trainees may be absorbed at the Semi-Skilled Grade with a pay scale of ₹19,900 – 3% – ₹69,650 (subject to revision) and a mandatory 1-year probation period.
Driver (Vehicle) – Skilled Grade-III: Initial pay scale is ₹20,110 – 3% – ₹70,390 with applicable allowances including Industrial Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) and other benefits. Additional benefits include Contributory Provident Fund (CPF), Gratuity, Medical facilities and Canteen benefits as per rules. Probation period: 1 year.
