For Librarian Position:
- Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
- Ph.D. degree in library science, information science, documentation, archives, or manuscript-keeping

- At least 10 years of experience as Deputy Librarian at Pay Level-12, including a minimum of 3 years in Level-13A
- Experience must be gained in libraries of Technical Universities, Educational Institutes of National importance, or large Technical Libraries

For Deputy Librarian Position:
- Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade
- Ph.D. degree in library science, information science, documentation, archives, or manuscript-keeping
- Evidence of innovative library services, including integration of ICT in library systems
- At least 8 years of experience as Assistant Librarian at Pay Level-10, with a minimum of 2 years in Level-11
- Experience must be from Higher Education Institutes, Universities, Educational Institutes of National importance, or large Scientific/Technical Institute Libraries
- Maximum age limit: 50 years
